Days 1, 3, 5 and 7 after birth: 0.5 grams. For motherless puppies and kittens, increase dosage to 1 gram on days 7 and 14 after birth. After breastfeeding and beyond 1 gram per 4.5 kg body weight. For each additional 4.5 kg, administer an additional 1 gram up to 22.7 kg. Above 22.7 kg body weight, administer a total of 5 grams. In unfavorable circumstances, administer the gel in two doses, separating the two intakes by three days. Weekly administration is sufficient for a maintenance dose.
