Trixie Matatabi Cat Broom Toy - 16 cm

A stimulating and natural toy for your cat's well-being

Give your feline an irresistible sensory experience with the Trixie Matatabi Broom. Specially designed to captivate even the most discerning cats, this toy combines the attractive qualities of matatabi wood with the stimulating texture of natural jute fringe.

The euphoric benefits of matatabi

Matatabi (also known as silver vine) is a powerful natural alternative to traditional catnip. It triggers reactions of pure pleasure, intense play, and absolute relaxation in most felines. Even cats not particularly sensitive to catnip easily succumb to the unique aroma of matatabi.

Beneficial for Dental Hygiene

By chewing the 16 cm natural wood handle, your cat takes care of its teeth daily:

• Mechanical Tartar Removal: Chewing removes plaque and cleans teeth.
• Gum Stimulation: Gentle rubbing strengthens gum tissue.
• Stress Relief: Chewing helps reduce anxiety and prevents destructive behaviors.
• Attractive Texture: The jute fringe awakens the predatory instinct and encourages pawing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between the Matatabi and classic catnip?

Matatabi contains two natural attractants (actinidin and dihydroactinidiolide) compared to only one for classic catnip. It is known to appeal to nearly 80% of cats, including those that don't respond to catnip.

Is matatabi dangerous for my pet?

No, matatabi is a completely safe, non-toxic, and non-addictive plant for cats. As with any toy, we advise you to supervise your cat during playtime.

How do I maintain the scent of the matatabi broom?

To refresh the scent and appeal of the toy after several weeks, you can gently scrape the surface of the bark with a blade or fine sandpaper to release the natural essential oils again.
